Teachers were delighted with the GCSE results which arrived today.
In the 64 GCSE exams taken by the nine Year 11 pupils we obtained:-
A* - A 29.7%
A* - C 68.8%
A* - G 98.4%
Considering the wide range of ability, including four pupils with special needs, these results were a tremendous success and reflect the enormous amount of work each individual pupil and member of staff have put in over the years.
Particular congratulations must go to Matthew and Jason. Matthew achieved eight A*s and one A to add to his A* from last year, while Jason, taking several GCSEs two years early, achieved six As and a B.
We also received module 1 marks for the new Science courses taken by Year 10. These were very pleasing and are encouraging for next year.
